Mood Swings
Mood Swings
The hormone changes that happen from our late 30s early 40s can manifest as disconcerting mood swings.
Maybe you’re noticing that your PMS symptoms are much worse. Maybe you feel more anxious, worried, tearful, hyperactive or generally a bit erratic. We often hear that women go from feeling mild and mellow one minute, to full on monster mode the next. It can feel like a really confusing and scary rollercoaster.
It is of course important to seek medical care if your symptoms are severe, ongoing, or if you have thoughts of self-harm.
However, it can be reassuring to know that optimising your health and hormone balance can have a positive impact on your mood. This includes identifying and addressing any underlying imbalances, fine-tuning your nutrition, optimising your gut health and looking at lifestyle factors such as exercise and stress management.
How We Can Help You
At The Prior Clinic we carry out a 360-degree review of your health history, diet and lifestyle, and any lurking imbalances that might be making your symptoms worse. This helps us to pinpoint the root cause of your symptoms.
We then work with you to create a fully customised care plan that will include nutrition and lifestyle changes, and nutritional supplements where appropriate. If we feel that testing could help us pinpoint underlying imbalances and root causes, we’ll recommend those too.
